Get Wet 1/2 Day Excursion (deposit only)
Curious about freediving in the Pacific Northwest, but not quite ready to commit to a full certification course? Our Get Wet half-day excursion is designed as a low-pressure introduction to Oregon’s cold-water ocean environment, giving prospective divers and spearos a chance to experience local conditions before investing in a full freediving course.
Participants will get hands-on experience suiting up in proper cold-water exposure gear, entering the Pacific safely, and becoming familiar with the realities—and rewards—of diving in Oregon. We’ll cover basic ocean awareness, thermal protection, equipment orientation, water comfort, and foundational breathing and relaxation concepts while spending time in the water with experienced guides. There will be opportunities for harvest of some invertebrate species conditions, permitting. This is NOT a spearfishing excursion!
This is not a certification course and does not include advanced freediving instruction or depth training. Instead, it’s an opportunity to build confidence, ask questions, and see whether cold-water freediving and spearfishing are right for you. Expect a fun, safety-minded, and highly supportive environment focused on comfort, curiosity, and developing respect for the ocean.
Perfect for:
- Prospective freedivers considering certification
- Spearfishers new to Oregon conditions
- Warm-water divers curious about PNW diving
